Muay Thai Camps in Thailand: How to Compare Them, and What They Really Cost
    On this page

If you search for a Muay Thai camp in Thailand, you will find hundreds of options and very few straight answers about price. This page is built to fix that: it explains how camps differ, what each type of package includes, and shows live prices in baht for packages you can book on our site.

    1. Training only, or training with a room?

Almost every camp sells two kinds of stay, and the difference changes the price more than anything else.

    • Training only. You pay for classes and arrange your own room. It usually has the lowest price and is the most flexible if you already have a place to stay.
    • Training with a room. One price covers classes and a room provided by the camp, at the camp or in a hotel it works with. It saves you the time of finding a place and usually keeps you close to the first session of the day.

On our site the packages follow the same logic. Bronze is group training only. Silver adds private lessons. Gold adds accommodation provided by the camp; what else is included (breakfast, meals, private lessons) depends on the camp and the room, so check each package.

    2. How long should you stay?

Most camps run two group sessions a day, usually six days a week, each around 1.5 to 2 hours (camp timetables checked on 21 October 2026; some camps also run other classes, and timetables change, so check the one you choose). That is a lot of training, which is why the length of your stay matters.

    • 1 week is a taster: about 12 sessions.
    • 2 weeks is about 24 sessions, long enough to learn the routine and settle in. We explain more in Is 2 weeks enough for Muay Thai in Thailand?
    • 3 to 4 weeks, or a month, gives you time to keep going after the first sore days, with a rest day each week.

If you are thinking about your goals, our guide on Muay Thai for fitness and weight loss in Thailand shows how many hours you will actually train and what a week costs.

    3. Fitness camp or fight camp?

A fitness-oriented camp is set up for regular people who want to get in shape, learn technique and enjoy the trip. Trainers usually start you at your level. A fight camp is built for people preparing to compete, with harder training and sparring. Many camps do both and can put you in the right group. If you are not planning to fight, say so when you book.

    4. Where in Thailand?

The place changes the experience more than people expect. These are facts about the areas, not a ranking:

    • Phuket has the most camps on our site. It is lively and easy for first-timers, with several training areas such as Chalong, Patong and Bang Tao.
    • Chiang Mai, in the north, has a slower pace.
    • Other places such as Khao Lak have their own atmosphere.

Season matters as well: timetables and prices can change with the time of year, so always check the camp's timetable and the prices for your dates.

    5. How to read the prices

    • Prices are per person, in Thai baht, and the box above is read from our live listings. Packages vary by camp, room type, meals included, length of stay and season.
    • Prices in the box are per person and already include payment costs, as on each package page.
    • A low price is not always better and a high price is not always worse: check what is included, the distance to the training, and the cancellation rule shown before you pay.

    6. Before you pay

    • Camps confirm bookings by hand. If a camp cannot confirm your dates after you pay, or cancels your booking, you choose between alternative dates that we propose, a different camp, or a refund of 100% of the amount you paid, including any payment processing fees.
    • The cancellation rule is shown before you pay. For packages with a room it is the camp's own rule, and many camps do not refund packages with a room once paid. Read it before you book flights.
    • Check your dates and level. If you are a beginner, choose a fitness-friendly camp and ease in during the first week.
